The Only Lip Treatment You Need to Save Your Winter Pout

2c084bbefe2b07112bf35688fa52d3a9

With so many products out on the market, it can be daunting to find the best one that really does the job. This is why it is important to read the ingredients because often times products contain substances, such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin, that will dry out the skin instead of moisturizing it. So we’re going to share with you our little secret  that keeps our lips moisturized and juicy during the winter. That secret is Aquaphor. This product is the best lip treatment out on the market because it is 100% protecting, looks amazing on and is simple and versatile.

The picture above does not do this product justice, however this multi-purpose healing ointment leaves a beautifully glossy and non-sticky  feel on the lips. Also, it’s important to note that a little goes a LONG way with this product and it lasts an incredibly long time before reapplication is needed. Originally known to help protect the diaper area of a babies skin, this product will literally leave your lips feeling softer than a babies bottom, no pun intended.

Note to self for 2017: less is more. This applies to life, love and, of course, beauty products.

Xo,

Bombette

P.S.

Aquaphor also works as a highlighter.  Apply a little bit to your eyelids, cheek bones and cupid’s bow for a fresh and dewy look.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENDRIX!

And the best is yet to come! Playboy model Hope Dworaczyk and her fiance Robert Smith welcomed their first child at home this morning on Friday, Dec. 19, her rep exclusively confirms to Us Weekly.

The couple’s baby boy, Hendrix Robert Smith, arrived at 7:51 a.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 12 oz., and measured 21 inches long.

Dworaczyk, 30, announced back in October that she and Smith were expecting. “It’s true. We’re having a baby. My growing waistline is proof and I love every bit of being pregnant! I know I’ve kept it quiet (SINCE SPRING!) but I wanted time for Robert and I to soak it all in and appreciate this blessing,” the 2010 Playmate of the Year posted on her Bombette website.

She added: “It was a long process and finally getting a positive pregnancy test, after trying to conceive for a couple years, made us want to keep it all to ourselves for a while.”

That same month, the Celebrity Apprentice alum gave an update on her pregnancy with a very revealing bikini photo. “At #8months baby is in the 79th percentile and HEALTHY!” she tweeted on Oct. 23. “Currently estimated at 19 inches & over 5lbs.”

Homemade Diaper Rash Creme

diaper creme

I’m about a week past my due date and need to keep myself busy since this waiting period is one of the hardest things I’ve done!

There are so many scary ingredients in the diaper rash cremes on the market today I decided to make my own raw, cold-pressed organic creme. I’ve chosen these high quality ingredients to create a creme for baby that’s all natural and completely safe for baby’s little behind!

Hope in a Jar – Baby Bottom Creme

2 oz. Ivory Shea Butter

2 tbsp. Argon Oil

1oz. Aloe Vera Gel

2 tbsp. Non-Nano Zinc Oxide Powder

Optional: 10 drops of Organic Lavender Essential Oil I added this to my blend but you don’t have to have this last ingredient. I just happened to have it in my essential oils drawer so threw it in last minute. (Lavender essential oil can also be used for insect bites, minor burns, sleep, dry skin, motion sickness and nosebleeds as a natural alternative to medicine.)

Directions:

Add all oils to the glass mixing bowl.  Using low speeds to start, with your hand mixer blend all ingredients together and continue to whip the oils until peaks start to form and you have a light, fluffy consistency.  Add the Zinc Oxide powder slowly and blend it in. Using a small spatula or spoon pack it in small glass jars for future use. I found my jars on Amazon and preferred glass over plastic but you could use either.

How to Use It:

Apply cream liberally to diaper rash and cover all nearby areas as well.

Shelf Life:

About 3 months.
