Homemade Diaper Rash Creme

I’m about a week past my due date and need to keep myself busy since this waiting period is one of the hardest things I’ve done!

There are so many scary ingredients in the diaper rash cremes on the market today I decided to make my own raw, cold-pressed organic creme. I’ve chosen these high quality ingredients to create a creme for baby that’s all natural and completely safe for baby’s little behind!

Hope in a Jar – Baby Bottom Creme

2 oz. Ivory Shea Butter

2 tbsp. Argon Oil

1oz. Aloe Vera Gel

2 tbsp. Non-Nano Zinc Oxide Powder

Optional: 10 drops of Organic Lavender Essential Oil I added this to my blend but you don’t have to have this last ingredient. I just happened to have it in my essential oils drawer so threw it in last minute. (Lavender essential oil can also be used for insect bites, minor burns, sleep, dry skin, motion sickness and nosebleeds as a natural alternative to medicine.)

Directions:

Add all oils to the glass mixing bowl.  Using low speeds to start, with your hand mixer blend all ingredients together and continue to whip the oils until peaks start to form and you have a light, fluffy consistency.  Add the Zinc Oxide powder slowly and blend it in. Using a small spatula or spoon pack it in small glass jars for future use. I found my jars on Amazon and preferred glass over plastic but you could use either.

How to Use It:

Apply cream liberally to diaper rash and cover all nearby areas as well.

Shelf Life:

About 3 months.
