EYE SPY BOMBETTE
Overheard at the Bombette Headquarters , “Eyeglasses are the new boob jobs!”
Yea its crazy but it really is SO true! Because wether they’re real or fake, eyeglasses are are undeniably an accessory every girl experiments with. You can totally transform your look by slipping a pair of cute glasses on. And these are some of our favorite trends happening in eyewear right now!
Clear Frames: Definitely one of our favorite frame trends we’re seeing everywhere. All of our readers know we’ve been obsessed with lucite furniture and accessories all year, and these are basically that, but for your face.
Retro Round: It’s sort of a hipster, vintage-y vibe, and we love it. These frames work great on people with square, oval, and oblong shaped faces.
Two Tone: A fun way to play with this look, wether its a subtle contrast of neutrals, like tortoise and black that will work with whatever you wear, or pops of contrasting colors like orange and purples.
Cat eye: The slightly upturned corners give the appearance of your face being lifted… Pain free face lift!! Just kidding, we know its not that dramatic, nor do you need a face lift. Cat eye frames are so feminine and so Bombette. They work best on oval, round, and square faces. We love the fact that while most frame shapes are unisex, cat eye frames are meant for the soft features of a woman.
Heavy Brow: Think of these frames as the Cara Delevingne of eyewear. This frame is heavy across the brow and top of the eye. The look is geek-chic but so classic.

ALEXANDER WANG FOR H&M
Two days from now, on November 6th, Alexander Wangx H&M will officially be available to the public. When you initially go thru the look-book, you might be a little intimidated by the designs. The trick with these pieces is not to wear them together, but to wear them with something you might already have in your closet. For example, the grey WANG crop sweater would look chic paired with a leather pencil skirt. This collection is edgy and so cool, and there’s something for everyone. I’m so excited for this collection to come out! The process of getting these pieces is another story. I’ve read they are planning on doing a bracelet system, telling you what time your group can come back and shop. Sounds like an amusement park… I’ll just do my shopping online.
Using scent to trigger memories
I was in London this past week and spent many of my days inside Harrod’s. I came home with some fabulous finds but one of the most exciting was a new fragrance for me and home spray for our house. Many of you know I love having a signature smell and love when my house also has a smell others recognize immediately. I’ve been wearing Le Labo Santal 33 since before they opened their first store and burning their candle and home spray almost as long. I tend to change fragrances with the season but always rotate back to my favorites.
I hadn’t bought any Frederic Malle fragrance and I’ve made up for it now! Scent is the most powerful memory trigger and these I feel represent both our home and me well. If the ones I chose aren’t for you I’d encourage you to check out the rest of their collection.
For our home (air, sheets, linens etc.) I personally chose Un Gardenia la Nuit in the perfume gun, candle and home diffuser. I love layering one smell in different ways. For me I wasn’t sure about the perfume until I wore it out of the store and then fell in love with it hours later. I chose the Frederic Malle perfume, hair mist and body butter in Carnal Flower. In the states these are available at Barney’s. I LOVE the hair mist and I’ve tried them all. If you’re going to buy one thing above buy the hair mist!
