Ladies, your hands are one of those things that people take notice to. It’s also a very sensual part of our bodies, equivalent to the clavicle. So it’s important to take care of them! For a hand model, her hands are her lifeline – and she is constantly exfoliating, moisturizing and manicuring them. The best part about this is that is doesn’t take much time or money to make and maintain your hands! The same way you care for your face should be the same way you care for your hands – it’s all about getting into that routine.
Follow these 3 SIMPLE HAND CARE RULES for beautiful, elegant and soft hands
- Moisturize your hands every time you wash them. Even if you have a moisturizing soap, it still dries the hands out. Especially if you are using warm to hot water, that dries them out as well!
- When you exfoliate your face, use the product to also exfoliate your hands because the skin on your hands needs to be sloughed off as well.
- Lastly, use a cuticle moisturizer and NEVER cut your cuticles! I repeat, never cut your cuticles! Why? Because the cuticle is your nails natural protective seal and blocks bacteria and ensures proper nail growth. Instead, keep it simple and just moisturize them with a cuticle oil like the one shown below and GENTLY push them back.

Primerose oil is a “cure all” kind of supplement for women because it:
- Balances out hormones
- Decreases acne
- Increases fertility
- Relieves menstrual cramps
- Ripens a woman’s uterus for labor
If you can’t already tell, Primerose Oil is a MUST for any woman at any stage of life! For women thinking of one day having children, women who are currently pregnant or women who have had multiple children, this supplement increases the quality of mucus in our uterus and keeps our reproductive system working at it’s most optimal!
Fun fact: Because Primerose oil contains an abundance of omega-6 essential acids, this supplement has been known to be highly effective at growing long lushes locks! Take 5000mg twice a day, apply it topically to your scalp or even add it to your shampoo for extra hair benefits!
The havoc cold weather wreaks on our skin and hair is a constant battle, but our cuticles and fingers get the worst of it. Dry hands lead to dry cuticles, and that leads to painful, unsightly hangnails. Putting on an oil treatment helps keep your cuticles healthy and supple all winter long. These nails aren’t naked, they’re nude. Nude nails are everything. It doesn’t matter which shape you have them filed, just brush a beautiful nude nail lacquer on top and you’re set for everything. It’s classic, sophisticated and timeless. And personally one of my favorite ways to wear my tips. Nude is oh so sexy.
The pastel purple undercoat is the only acceptable thing about this.
Remove the gold and the silly rhinestones right now. Thanks.
Your nail should never be multi-colored neon. Obviously.
This is ALMOST worse than animal abuse. Don’t abuse their prints either.
Flared nails are ALWAYS a no. No matter what color you paint them. Im not even going to start on those rhinestones.

Unless you are under the age of 12 you absolutely DO NOT need to have Hello Kitty as a part of your fashion ensemble. EVER.
Loving this take on a classic french manicure and having black tips instead of white.
Reverse tips are cool and still look classic when done with nude and black.
Love the monochromatic contrast of the shiny tips against the matte.

A manicured hand with polished tips is always a must. I can be dressed in a $10,000 gown, with my hair and makeup done and glass slippers on my feet, but if my nails aren’t done I feel like I might as well be wearing my pajama shirt and a shower cap. Even if you are going with a naked, polish-free nail, keep those edges neat! The embellished nail trend has been going on for a while now and there is a right way and a wrong way to wear it. I love bright colors, especially for summer, but there is ZERO excuse for having Hello Kitty anywhere on your body if you’re over the age of 11.
It doesn’t matter if I’m wearing a $10,000 gown, If my nails aren’t manicured I feel like my outfit is ruined. Ok, I know that might sound a little dramatic but I really think its SO important for a woman to keep her hands and nails in tip-top condition. I am a lover of the gel polish simply for the fact that it looks shiny and doesn’t chip for almost 3 weeks. I actually get mine done every 2 weeks because I’m so obsessive about that little space between your cuticle and the polish, but the gel polish will typically last 3 weeks on average. My only problem I’ve come across with doing this so often is that my cuticles get dry. I started taking a week off in-between manicures to give my nails a break, and it honestly didn’t make that much of a difference. What I did find to help was cuticle oil. On my last trip to Sephora I picked up their Brush-On Nourishing cuticle oil. It comes in a convenient little click-pen style applicator. I keep it next to my bed and its literally the last thing I do before I turn out the light and go to sleep. Not only has it solved my problem of my dry cuticles, its actually made my nails healthier.
