Dinner dates in London
Mr. Smith and I are spending more and more time in London and discovering places some new some old. This past week we visited two great restaurants I’d love to come back to.
The Chiltern Firehouse is one of London’s hottest hang out spots and happens to make the best cocktails. Some of my must have items are listed below. If you’re in London make sure to stop here.
Bacon Cornbread with Chipotle Maple Butter and the Chicken Breast chopped small and fried, with maple bourbon sweet potato with duck confit. I think London makes the best cocktails in the world. Here I LOVE the Life & Soul cocktail. They also make a killer Whisky Sour with Lemon Foam.
Novikov Restaurant was opened by Russian restaurateur Arkady Novikov. It’s asian fusion menu is uncanny!
Menu Musts: Tuna carpaccio with foie gras and hamachi carpaccio with white truffle, and the egg friend rice with chili.
Cocktails: The Dragon mocktail is a fruity and spicy at the same time. Try a Henry The Stranger, made with Classic Gaelic Sour and British Twist Calvados, fresh rosemary, pear purée, cinnamon syrup, lemon juice, its amazing! And I love the fresh cucumber, sweet red chili, fresh passion fruit and lychee juices!
